Jan Herrera and Christine Moore

 

For the last 15 years Jan has been full time practicing artist. Jan has an advanced diploma with a major in painting, along with two diplomas with majors in sculpture and print making. Jan’s medium changes often, since arriving in Port Macquarie recently and having limited studio space, Jan has enjoyed the move from larger canvas works to paper artworks. 

 

Jan’s work crosses and blurs the boundary between abstract and landscapes/seascape. You will see geometric shapes which intersect, overlap, pile up and ultimately create a sense of visual distance. 

Christine is a self-taught artist who has been painting and drawing for over 30 years. For the last 15 years Christine has worked mostly with pastels and mixed media. A few years ago, she also experimenting with the traditional Swiss paper cutting art as week as textile art. Christine loves discovering and exploring new techniques.

 

Through her work, Christine tries to convey her feelings for places she loves. Experimenting with art is a way for Christine to express emotions that often can’t be put into words. Christine changes from colours to sceneries in black and white and then returning to colours. Commissions are welcome!
