Coastline mourns the passing of its first General Manager Allan Algie

Coastline Credit Union is deeply saddened to announce the passing of its first General Manager, Allan Algie, who died at his home in Queensland over the weekend following a short illness.

Allan Algie was appointed as the first General Manager of Macleay Mutual Credit Union, now known as Coastline Credit Union, in 1979. Allan played a pivotal role in the advancement of the credit union, notably spearheading its transition into the digital era with the acquisition of the first computer system in 1982.

In 1986, Allan Algie departed from the Credit Union to assume a position with Uni Credit Union in Queensland.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Allan’s family and friends during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed.

Allan served as the General Manager of Macleay Mutual Credit Union (now Coastline Credit Union) from 1979 to 1986.
