Coastline Bank is proud to support local First Nations artists through our 2025 NAIDOC Art Exhibitions. This year, we are offering two $1,000 scholarships to Indigenous artists exhibiting at our Port Macquarie or Central Kempsey Art Hubs from July 1–31, 2025.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

  • Two $1,000 scholarships for Indigenous artists exhibiting at our Port Macquarie or Central Kempsey Art Hubs.
  • Eligibility: Artists must reside in the Macleay or Hastings Valley.
  • Artwork Requirements: Works must be original, hangable, and prepared with D-rings and hooks ready for hanging.
  • Submission Deadline: 6th June 2025.
  • Selection Process: Judged by an independent panel based on originality, artistic merit, and alignment with NAIDOC Week values and themes.
  • Notification: Scholarship recipients will be notified on July 31, 2025.

Terms & Conditions

Coastline Bank Community Foundation – 2025 NAIDOC Art Scholarship Terms & Conditions

  1. Eligibility
    a. Scholarships are open to individuals who:
    i. Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and
    ii. Submit original artworks for exhibition at either the Coastline Bank Port Macquarie or Central Kempsey Art Hub as part of the 2025 NAIDOC Art Exhibition.
    b. All participants must reside within the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales.
  2. Scholarship Details
    a. Two (2) scholarships valued at AUD $1,000 each will be awarded.
    b. The scholarships are provided by the Coastline Bank Community Foundation and are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
    c. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipients following the announcement date.
  3. Exhibition Period
    a. Artworks must be exhibited from 1st July to 31st July 2025 at either the Port Macquarie or Central Kempsey Coastline Bank Art Hub.
    b. Entry into the exhibition is free of charge.
    c. All proceeds from any artwork sold during the exhibition will go directly to the artist.
  4. Artwork Requirements
    a. All artworks submitted for exhibition must be hangable and prepared with D-rings and hooks ready for hanging.
    b. Non-hangable artworks, including sculptures or other types of art that cannot be hung on a wall, will not be accepted for display.
    c. Artists must ensure that their artworks are properly framed or mounted for the exhibition.
  5. Registration & Submission
    a. Artists must submit an online registration form via the Coastline Bank website at www.coastline.com.au (https://www.coastline.com.au).
    b. The registration form must be completed by 6th June 2025.
  6. Selection Process
    a. Recipients of the scholarships will be selected by an independent judge appointed by the Coastline Bank Community Foundation.
    b. Judging criteria may include originality, artistic merit, and alignment with NAIDOC Week values and themes.
    c. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into.
  7. Notification
    a. Scholarship recipients will be notified on 31st July 2025 via the contact details provided at the time of submission.
    b. Public announcement of recipients may also be made via Coastline Bank’s website and social media platforms.
  8. General
    a. Coastline Bank reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the scholarshipoffer at any time without notice.
    b. By participating in the exhibition, artists agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
    c. Coastline Bank may request permission to photograph exhibited artworks for promotional purposes; artists will be credited appropriately where applicable.
