Cubs School Visit Program

Learning about money should be fun and practical—because understanding finance is a skill that lasts a lifetime. That’s why the Cubs School Visit Program offers young students a hands-on experience, introducing them to the world of banking in an engaging, interactive way.

What the students get up to

Students dive into real-life money activities, like exchanging 5 x $1 coins for a $5 note (which they get to keep, thanks to support from the Community Foundation). They’ll enjoy a guided tour led by our friendly staff, learning about money management through fun, practical tasks. At the end of the visit, each student takes home a goodie bag and a certificate to mark the occasion.

Planning and requirements

Groups of 18–20 students are welcome, with visits tailored to fit the branch you’re visiting. The program aligns with the NSW Mathematics syllabus and the Early Years Learning Framework, ensuring it’s both educational and fun. Each excursion lasts about an hour, with teachers or helpers assisting to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We can even arrange to visit your school if that’s easier!

Education @ Glasshouse Program

We’re passionate about helping young people connect with the arts and culture in our region.

Through the Community Foundation, we’re proud to support schools and teachers by offering financial assistance to make attending Education @ Glasshouse events more accessible.

This year alone, we provided over $20,000 in grant funding to more than 30 schools across the Macleay, Hastings and Manning Valleys, benefiting 3,090 students. Whether it’s covering ticket costs, delivering workshops on school campuses, or supporting professional development for teachers, we’re here to help make arts education available to everyone.

Funding applications are now open for the following performances:

  • Scenes of Climate Era - Closes 2 May
