After growing up and living in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Terri and her partner moved to Bonny Hills in Dec 2013. They were attracted to the beautiful beaches, rivers and hinterland of the Mid North Coast after many years of holidaying in the area.

Terri has enjoyed painting, drawing and fibre crafts all her life, and in semi-retirement, has been able to put more time into her art. On her small bush block in Bonny Hills Terri has created Bonnyview Studio in a lovely wooden cabin It is a working studio with different spaces for working on pastels, gouache and oil paintings, as well as a table that doubles for framing and small art classes with 2 or 3 students. The studio is open by appointment, give Terri a call or email if you would like to see the studio, or have a lesson!

In 2017, Terri started teaching beginners and next stage art classes for Camden Haven Community College. With COVID restrictions, she has now postponed these till further notice, although sometimes takes 1 to 3 students at a time in her studio, or outdoors for “en plein air” painting sessions.

Her favourite subjects are scenes of our natural environment – especially plein air. Terri says “being outdoors can have it challenges, although it has many advantages for learning to quickly paint the scene in front of you as it is at that moment. Our area has so many beautiful places to paint!”
