We'd like to welcome Christine Witchard to our Art Hub. This new initiative is 100% free of charge, with all proceeds returned directly to the artist. Find out more here: https://www.coastline.com.au/community/art-hub/
Christine is one of our very own team members. We approached her to see if she would like to be part of our Art Hub. After having a think about it, Christine has filled in for one of our Postponed Artists.
Christine specializes on painting on saw blades, but also is amazingly talented doing finer detailed work on other mediums too.
Christine has lived in the Macleay since 1981. She started doing Folk Art in 1997 and loved it.
“Folk art is something you can start at a minimal budget because you can pick up anything that's lying around in the house. I have painted chest of draws, old stools, boxes, lots of different milk cans, tins and even a old dodge truck sun viser”
Christine likes turning things that people see as junk, into a new item. She has won awards at the local show.
