Robyn has always been fascinated by colour, texture, design and fabrics. She started early on with batik and progressed to weaving and fabric art during her degree in Textiles and Design. As a teacher, Robyn continued this discovery and promotion of Textile Arts. She is now working in silk, oils and water colours as well as mixed media or fabric art.

"I am inspired by beautiful shapes and rich colours in the landscape. Working with paint, dyes and fabric excites me. I love the sometimes unexpected results achieved with dyes on silk. I am a colourist and enjoy using complementary colours to create a vivid contrast in my landscapes. I like to start with an image and let the colours create the story or mood.

We are lucky enough to live in Crescent Head, NSW on a bush block surrounded by the beauty of the Macleay Valley and nearby coastal landscapes. This is a continuing inspiration and subject for my work.

I am now enjoying the life as a full time artist. I exhibit regularly, having completed 6 solo exhibitions, various group exhibitions and having received a number of painting awards. I enjoy teaching Silk Painting classes and workshops (when Covid allows).

At present I am exhibiting locally at The Old Lodge Gallery, Gladstone; Pandanus Boutique, Crescent Head and Freddo Pie shop, Fredrickton.

You are welcome to visit my home gallery where my artworks are displayed.  Just make an appointment first by ringing 65660182, mobile 0488605819 ( limited service) or emailing robbojacko@hotmail.com"
