Kempsey Riverside Twilight Markets

The annual Twilight Market - undoubtedly the best event of the year on the Macleay!

This year we have a surprise in store for you!! Not only will we have our fabulous market, delicious food, awesome entertainment and FIREWORKS on the river.

Smith Street Crazy Day Sale & Car Show

Smith Street is set to come alive on Saturday 1st December! Proudly presented by Kempsey Riverside Markets and with the support of our Sponsors, Smith Street will be on Sale!

What a day it will be! In addition, there will be a huge Show'n'Shine, entry is free on the day and entry numbers can be collected at the Shannons tent.

There will be loads of live entertainment as well, something for everyone! Once you have had your fill in down town Kempsey, head over to Riverside Park where all the fun continues from 3pm with the Twilight Markets and Fireworks!

Horseshoe Bay Markets & Kundabung Country Markets

A BIG weekend of markets ahead in the Macleay Valley this weekend!

Come beachside for the monthly Horseshoe Bay Markets 8am – 1pm (held every second Saturday of the month) and we all know down by the beach is a lovely way to spend your Saturday! Check out all the colourful variety of stalls and the fresh produce in season!

Sunday will see Kundabung’s Country & Farmers Market kick off at 9am until 1pm with a BBQ brekky on offer continuing throughout the morning. Venture inside Kundabung Hall to see what morning tea is on offer; we’ve heard rumours of homemade scones with jam and cream, great tea and coffee and EVEN ice cream sundaes and cold spiders! Keep the kids entertained with jumping castle and pony rides available, while you check out all the items and produce on sale!

Natureland Classic Motorcycle Club Toy Run

Sunday 16 December | South West Rocks Country Club

Every year the Natureland Classic Motorcycle Club conducts a Toy Run in December, collecting toys to make Christmas a little brighter for disadvantaged children in the Macleay Valley.

More than 80 motorcycle riders travel from South West Rocks into Kempsey followed by vehicles to collect and transport the donated items that have been left at various points on the route. Santa, travelling in a sidecar, does a grand job greeting children along the way.

All bike riders are welcome to join the run, with a 10am start at South West Rocks Country Club.

Sunday Sessions feat. Monique Clare

Dancing between intricate, rhythmic cello lines, compelling lyrics and heart-tugging harmonies, Monique Clare is a powerhouse in the contemporary folk scene. She’s a skilled and versatile multi-genre cellist, having worked for bluegrass legend Darol Anger, Scottish fiddler Hanneke Cassel and opera-trained pop singer Kate Miller-Heidke.

She's appearing at Macleay Valley Arts Council Sunday Sessions with drummer Caleb Colledge.

Beginning at 8am, Stuarts Point Markets will harbour a range of fantastic stalls and delicious foods as well as GREAT coffee and live entertainment.

Stuarts Point Markets are hosted by Yarrahapinni Hotel and Peppercorn Café and held in their car park on the Corner of Stuarts Point and Grassy Head roads.

Grown and Gathered Community Market

Sunday 2 December | 9am- 1pm

This local community market is fast becoming known as the region's friendliest market.

The premise of the market was originally based on the idea of "re-use, recycle, repurpose" with local valley residents bringing their farm produce excesses to the local hall to barter and share with other residents. Since then, this little market has grown to include fantastic food, great coffee, eclectic and interesting stalls including jewellery, artworks, metal work, recycled clothing, knitwear, jams, preserves and plenty more. It changes each month so there's always something new to see.

The drive is about 45 minutes from Port Macquarie or 25 minutes from Wauchope, through the gorgeous Pappinbarra Valley past Beechwood. If you enjoy a scenic drive with a fantastic destination at the end, come and see them on the first Sunday of each month from 9am to 1pm in daylight savings, and til 12 through the colder months.

New Year's Eve - Fireworks on The Foreshore

Join in the fun this New Year's Eve at Taree's favourite family event. Fireworks on the Foreshore runs the length of the stunning Manning River foreshore, from the Martin Bridge to the Sailing Club.

Entry is free, and there will be live music and entertainment; novelties and activities for the kids and kids-at-heart; a festive, picnic atmosphere. The event culminates in a spectacular firework display over the water at 9pm.

This is a family-friendly and alcohol-free event.
