SMS Banking

SMS DemoListed below are just some of the exciting features which allow you more flexibility in monitoring and managing your finances, all from your Mobile phone.

It's easy to use! Once you have registered for SMS Banking, you can retrieve account information via your mobile phone by sending a text message request. You can also set SMS Alerts to inform of account activity when it occurs eg MINIMUM BALANCE ALERT.

Registration

Registering for SMS Banking is easy.

Register using Phone Banking by selecting Option 5 from the main menu.

or

Login to Internet Banking, click on the SMS Banking button on the menu bar and select Register.

Settings

Simply add or update the desired details into the settings page.

Mobile Number: Enter the mobile phone number (without spaces) to which alerts and responses will be sent.

Helpful Hint
Add an entry with the above details to your mobile phone's contacts list. Refer to your mobile phones user guide for more detailed instructions. SMS Add to Contacts

 

SMS Alerts

SMS Alerts allow you to be kept up to date on activity within your account as it happens. SMS Alerts can be set up and changed any time by accessing Internet or Phone Banking.

You can elect to be notified when any of the following events occur:

  • When a Direct Credit transaction is posted
  • When a Direct Debit transaction is posted
  • When the balance of your account drops below a defined limit.
  • Scheduled balance.

When any of your defined alert parameters is met, an SMS message is sent directly to your mobile phone informing you of the action.

SMS Inbound Requests - 0447 CCU SMS

SMS Requests allow you to send an SMS (Short Message Service) Message to Coastline on 0447228767 (without spaces) containing a text command. A reply message is sent back to your nominated mobile.

To activate this feature simply place a tick in the box beside Allow SMS Inbound Requests.

Functions available are:

  • Balance of your accounts
  • Transaction history
  • Interest paid
  • Transaction specific - i.e. Credits, Debits

Phone Compatibility

SMS Banking can be used on any mobile phone as long as it has the ability to send and receive SMS messages. Landline or house phones can be used but only for SMS Alerts.

SMS Charges

You will be charged for the use of SMS Banking in two ways.

Messages which you send from your mobile will be charged at your standard rate according to your mobile phone contract. Messages sent to your mobile by the SMS Banking system, either in reply to SMS Requests or as an SMS Alert will be charged at a rate of 25 cents per message and will be debited from your Coastline account at the end of each month.
