Alternate LoginIf you are experiencing problems accessing Internet Banking you can try clicking on the following link which should take you directly to the Internet Banking page. If this link does not work, try the following tips. Browser CompatibilityWe recommend using the latest versions of mainstream browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or greater). Current versions of these applications are available free to download from their manufacturers websites. The most commonly used browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer. To check the version of Internet Explorer on a pc - Open the browser and click on "Help" then click on "About Internet Explorer" The version information will be displayed. Microsoft Internet Explorer 8Users Members using Internet Explorer 8 may experience some problems when using our Internet Banking. Compatibility View Compatibility View can be turned on by clicking on the Compatibility View icon at the end of the Address Bar at the top of the Internet Explorer 8 window once you have logged into Internet Banking.
Once this has been turned on, it will remember the setting and continue to operate in Compatibility View each time you log into Internet Banking. Clear Temporary Internet Files and CookiesMany browser based issues can be resolved very quickly by clearing any cached or temporary Internet files, and clearing cookies in the browser prior to restarting. After clearing temporary files and cookies, all open browser windows should be closed and the browser restarted. To clear the Temporary Internet Files and Cookies:
Security SettingsBrowser security settings control the type and level of activity allowed in your browser application. Security Level For Internet Banking to operate it is recommended to use a level of "Medium". Setting a "High" level security can prevent the exchange of information and Internet Banking may not function. To set the security settings in Internet Explorer:
Javascript If JavaScript is disabled, the Dynamic CSS will not be updated to request the Icon grid image from the 2nd Factor server. To check if Javascript is disabled:
Trusted Sites PLEASE NOTE: The Trusted Sites required for some users to access Internet Banking have changed as of 24 November 2010. Please ensure that the Trusted Sites list on your PC reflects the list below. With some software combinations and settings the addition of Internet Banking URL's may be required in the "Trusted Sites" list. To add Coastline's Internet Banking URL's to the trusted sites list in Internet Explorer:
Image LoadingIf a user is only interested in the text on the page and not the images, they may configure their browser to disable image loading. If image loading is turned off the Icon grid image will not be requested or display. To check if image loading is disabled:
Style SettingsMost contemporary browsers allow the user to override the site style sheet with a custom designed set of page styles. Often this is done to improve clarity and legibility for visually impaired users by making fonts larger and forcing text and page colours that contrast more clearly. To check that the default Style Sheet is selected:
Background Images SettingsBoth Windows XP and Vista provide support for visually impaired users in their accessibility options. While these options are windows settings a number of modern browsers check for these settings and alter their appearance and behaviour accordingly. If background images are turned off in accessibility options, the Icon grid will not be requested or displayed. To verify if background images are turned off: Windows XP
