Visa Debit Card
Coastlines Visa Debit Card provides members with 24-hour / 7 day-a-week access to their savings account. The Visa Debit card provides features that are similar to a Credit Card with access to your own funds combined with an overdraft facility.
Visa Debit Card can be used for purchases, to pay bills or purchase tickets over the telephone and internet.
Visa Card is accepted Australia-wide through more than 500,000 ATM and EFTPoS facilities. Visa Card also offers members international access.

Fraud Monitor with ORION
At Coastline we understand that you want to feel safe when shopping or travelling with your Visa card. That’s why we’ve implemented a card monitoring system with additional security protection, wherever you are 24 hours a day using ORION – our fraud management service provider.
ORION monitors your card transactions, and in the case of suspicious transactions will contact you as soon as possible and Coastline may restrict your card in the event that you are not contactable.
To verify your transactions contact us on 1300 361 066 or logon to Online Banking and email us your request via the secure email function.
We recommend that you contact Coastline before leaving to travel overseas and update all your contact details whilst you’re away. We also recommend that as a precaution you should have more than one way to access your accounts in case of an emergency e.g. Debit card and a credit card.

Coastline Begins Verified by Visa Program

Coastline Credit Union are in the midst of launching into the Verified by Visa (VbV) program with the full implementation scheduled for late January 2011. In the interim, Coastline is participating in a soft launch or ‘Silent Mode’ phase of the Verified by Visa program.

Protect Your PIN
Coastline Credit Union has joined with APCA’s “Protect Your PIN” campaign. The campaign is aimed to increase consumer awareness about the importance of PIN protection.
Remember the two golden rules;
- Cover your PIN entry with your hand anytime you enter it on a keypad
- Never give out your PIN to anyone – not even family members or authorities.

A chargeback is the right that we exercise on behalf of a customer holding a debit or credit card (the cardholder). It is a right to chargeback responsibility for a credit (or debit) card transaction from the cardholders Financial Institution to the merchants Financial Institution.
If you dispute a credit or debit card transaction we will promptly claim a chargeback right on your behalf where one exists. However, to enable us to do this, you must dispute the transaction to us within the required timeframe. You should notify us immediately if you become aware of an unorthorised transaction on your credit or debit card.

Regular Payment Arrangements
A "Regular Payment Arrangement" is where you provide a merchant with your Visa Card details and authorise the merchant to regularly charge you using the Visa Card.
